Fender Blacktop Jaguar HH routing for JM Tremolo?

cheapest & easiest option would be a blacktop jag body + a lil bit of routing for the trem. or a vm jag body which would look weird though with the jazzmaster decal on the headstock (I wouldn't mind that on the blacktop which looks like a jm already) JBhome. PAT. # 2.972.923.

This Blacktop version has a modern alnico magnet humbucker in the bridge and a Duncan Designed P-90 style Jazzmaster pickup in the neck. Unlike the Jaguar this guitar has the full Fender scale 25.5 inch neck with 21 medium jumbo frets. It has a normal 60s style headstock and the fretboard has a modern 9.5 inch radius.

Any love for the Blacktop Jazzmaster HS?

Here we are six days later and my Blacktop Jazzmaster arrived. A "Fender" labeled JM for $299 was simply irresistible. My initial impression was that it is light weigh and very resonant unplugged. The neck is great! Nice and full. The neck pickup tone is perfect for surf instrumentals, which is why I bought it.

Jazzmaster modifications for high gain tone

Look up youtube video "tonefiend PTB" and you'll find a circuit he uses to really improve distorted tones, I've used it and it works well. It's a mash up of a G&L S-500 bass cutoff circuit and Reverend bass contour. The other option is look up the Arlo Cocked Wah mod in the guitar or use a wah pedal half cocked open. .
